FAQ
Where is the Zoom? Simply drag your mouse over the chart, holding down the left button to draw a zoom-box.
The Zoom area is all screwed up! Right click on the chart to bring up the pop-up menu. Select "Autoadjust".
Accuracy of "Total Ascend" Depending on your activity, GPS signal conditions and used device you might notice unrealistic high/low values for the Total Ascend. This is a result of fluctuations in the data that emerge for various reasons (velocity, slope, erratic or linear motion etc). GPS devices without barometric altitude sensor are more prone to deliver wrong data since they rely on the GPS signal to calculate the altitude (the GPS altitude accuracy usually is less than the positional accuracy by many factors).
It doesn't work the way it should... Well... this happens with software. Currently I can test and debug only on the Windows platform. Hence I don't know if all features work on other platforms like they should. You also might notice cut-off text etc. I would appreciate if you let me know such problems so that I can work on them.
GPX file format GPS Altitude Chart was successfully tested with Garmin's GPX output, assuming that company knows what they are doing. Only the <trk> section of the file is evaluated. An example of a valid file (red text is evaluated): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no" ?> <gpx xmlns="http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1" The time chart is displaying weird stuff... This problem occurs from time to time when exporting GPX files in G7ToWin. As far as I can see it is not related to GPS Altitude Chart.
Your software crashed my system. While this is not likely to happen I of course cannot fix your system in any case. This software is provided as-is, no serious problems have ever been observed or reported but any usage is at your own risk.
